Pickle

Pickle was a tortie long-haired moggie who came to lodge with us on a "temporary" basis thirteen years ago and got her paws under our table. So her owners decided she was better off staying with us. She had a long and happy life, climbed many a tree, and enjoyed the great outdoors.  She was always ready to welcome us, purring loudly, whenever we returned home. The place won't be the same without her. It was a shock to find that she had suddenly died of old age.

Will (Pr Woodycoon Will Shakespurr)

Will was only 3 when he developed Lymphoma - unfortunately, although he responded initially to chemotherapy, sadly it didn't go into remission and he lost his battle with the disease. Born on 18th September 2001, "Will" was a red spotted tabby Maine Coon and a big softie. We miss him running up our apple tree, jumping across to the low roof, bouncing onto the conservatory roof and looking in at the bedroom window to wish Ros a "good morning".

Kitcat

Kitcat (who was a black and white long haired "moggie") had a long and happy life with us before succumbing to Lymphoma at nearly 14 years old. An amazing personality and quite a character in our neighbourhood. The little white tip on her tail would always reveal her location to us when she was in the long grass.

Fudge

Fudge (known formally as Grand International Premier Tarkusha Panache) was a Red Birman, who died following post-op complications from a blocked bladder. He is very much missed, especially by Enya.  He seemed to think he was a Maine Coon and grew to coon size to prove it. Fudge loved being shown and played up to the admiring crowd he always attracted.

Simba

A stunning Red Tabby Maine Coon, and in his time one of the top 3 Maine Coons in England.  Read more about him here

Chunky

A Blue Point Birman and litter brother to Tinkerbell (aka EP Adwello Stardancer) and Cinderella. He developed Chronic Renal Failure, and died just before he was 4 years old. Very much one of Ros' favourite cats.

Ginger

One of our first Maine Coons, who collapsed and died suddenly from HCM when he was nearly 5 years old. His lines do not feature in our breeding programme.

Golly

A black DSH, she spent all her 19 years with Ros, succumbing eventually to old age. Known as "nurse Golly", since she always knew when Ros or Sarah were ill, and came to comfort them.

Treacle

A large Red Tabby with white.  Originally owned by Ros, he latched onto Martin (sometimes literally, as he "poddled" on Martin's chest). Treacle was a gentle cat, and in his early days often brought ducklings into the cottage purely for the pleasure of watching them waddle round the lounge ! He lived until he was 17, before developing inoperable stomach cancer.

Thomas

Litter brother to Treacle, and a delightful Red Tabby boy. Very much a gentle giant, he never brought any livestock into the house - just twigs and leaves. He also died from cancer when he was 14.

Thomas and Treacle inspired us to find large gentle cats as replacements - which is why we now breed and show Maine Coons !
