Although we breed Maine Coons, we also have some Birmans that share our home. Two are show quality and have both earned top TICA titles.
Our
daughter (under Ros' close supervision) bred a single litter with her Birman, and this picture was taken in 1997 when the kittens were just a few months old:

Alan Robinson describes this as one of the best photographs he has ever taken.
One of these kittens is now RW SGCA and EP Adwello Stardancer. She is a delight to show and relishes her little "adventures" in hotels when we stop overnight to go to a show.
With FIFe, as well as several BIS wins in the UK, she was nominated for the Best in Show panel at the 2002 FIFe World Show in Helsinki, Finland. She was also Overall Best Exhibit at the CA 2003
Cat of the Year Show and Best Neuter in the Birman Special at the Felikat show in Klundert, Netherlands in March 2003. She holds the the title of European Premier - the highest title in FIFe.
In October 2004, she went to the TICA Europe North Regional Awards Show in Ruesselsheim, Germany. Here she finalled in 9 out of 12 rings (3 as Best Alter) and was Best of the Best Alter in
Show. In March 2005, she was Best Alter in 4 rings (and finalled in 5 other rings) at the TICA show in Pontoise, France, and is the first UK-resident cat to become a TICA Supreme Grand Champion Alter.
She became a Regional Winner in June 2005 - 7th Best Alter in Europe North, Best Birman in the Region and 4th Best Birman Alter across the whole of TICA. She was also a Regional Winner in
June 2006, and again Best Birman Alter in Northern Europe.

Here's a picture of Tinkerbell (as she is known at home) and her sister Cinderella in a more informal pose. The cushions were bought from Gabriella Rapp of Sweden.
Both of us love red cats, and we also have a delightful Red Point Birman - Tarkusha Armanie, known
at home as Toffee. His nickname is "Bosch" as he is white and a very efficient dishwasher ! Toffee has been shown with TICA and is also a Supreme Grand Champion Alter. He is a very friendly cat,
but has a special affinity with small boys. This is a picture of Toffee at a year old with a devoted fan:
Toffee was bred by Geoffrey and Carol Tarr, who also bred GCCF Gr Ch Tarkusha Princeofthieves. "Prince" was GCCF Supreme Kitten in 1995 and is the sire of both our own TICA RW SGCA and FIFe
EP Adwello Stardancer and SGCA Tarkusha Armanie.
